- Wheat beer with hints of orange and spice typical Wit bier
I was asked for my wedding day wit recipe so I figured I would drop this here and link to it
It's not a complex nor is it a ground breaking recipe and obviously it isn't exactly to style but I designed it around ingredients that I would pretty much always have on hand
I went with red wheat for this (described to have a tartness that i think goes well with the other ingredients) but i have brewed it with both white wheat and used flaked wheat before this just happens to be my current variation as with most recipes I tweak it because I just can't leave them alone

Saccharification 1 Full Volume strike temp 7.5 gal @153 F to target 145-147 30 min
Saccharification 2 Pull grain bag and heat to 169 F over 9 min 162 F 30 min
Along with the acid malt I add a teaspoon of calcium chloride to my well water so ymmv and the acid malt can be adjusted or removed to your own water and mashing needs
Also my target og is typically 1.052-56 I have been getting higher efficiency lately so i will possibly scale back the grain bill to compensate, this was originally designed to be a session-able beer for parties i.e. my wedding day
Overall this is the first recipe I created that my friends and family consistently ask me to rebrew, as in the name I had brewed this for my wedding day and also bottled 4 cases to include a bottle in each wedding favor
I can submit a pint photo after i keg this current batch
