I was previously using a DIY chiller made from a window AC unit.
It worked but was loud and not very efficient.
I got a deal on an aquarium chiller so I planned out a new build.
It has 2 closed circuits to independently cool 2 fermenters
Spike 10 conical that I typically fill to 14gal and a 1/2 barrel sanke keg that will be 14gal
Trial runs are showing 53-54 F with no struggle.
This is for ales only, really just need to maintain 64F
Chiller = $35
Cooler = $45
Fittings =$40
Sanke coil $45
Controls =from last build
Wood = free
Pumps for cooling $30
