Jack of all trades master of none, I am multitalented and a voracious learner. I enjoy learning, experimenting and sharing. I have no online presence other than this wonderful forum and I try to give of myself openly and honestly. I can be testy if rubbed the wrong way, but have no problem apologizing when I am wrong. I was a state champion wrestler and all state football player and my dreams to play in college and beyond were thwarted by a narrow spinal column despite my large frame. After my dreams were clearly not going to come true I fell in love with music and studied guitar playing in college.
My bachelors is in music and I have a masters plus many other credits in another subject. All my credits together are very close to a doctorate but I cant afford to or have any desire to go back. I grew up fairly poor and was taught how to cook from my mom. The forum has elevated my skills immensely. I see cooking and brewing as a blend of art and science and routinely butt heads with overly scientific thinkers. After years of brewing I finally got a hydrometer but still rarely use it. I like to read and learn about brewing even if I dont utilize it or agree with it. There is more but this is all I have time for right now.

- Home Brewing Biography
- Started with Mr. Beer and went straight to all grain bulk sacks. Bought Mr. Beer in bulk too. Started to save money and have done well at that. Since high elevation started on stove but now have simple powerful system. I like to experiment and brew quickly. Brewing quick is my thing. Current system is small pid box and 5500 watt heat stick I put in 15g kettle. All my equipment fits in said kettle and I only have two kegs I keep filled. I brew, drink, and brew again. I see brewing as cooking and don't make any more trip out of it then that.
