I started kit brewing in Hawaii and then continued when I retired from the Navy and moved to Oregon in 2006. Moved to Florida in 2012 and didn't resume brewing until 2019 (right before covid started). Now doing all grain brews and working to incorporate local ingredients into my recipes.
