I've been a wine & beer geek since college, and even worked for several years, part-time, at a local wine/beer shop (named one of the top 70 beer retailers in the country by All About Beer)---which is really where I honed my beer knowledge. A couple years ago, I was introduced by a friend/coworker to homebrewing; the process fascinated me, but it was that magical first sip of my first carbonated bottle that sold me for life.

Then I found HBT. The rest is history. In 2 years, I managed to brew 76 batches, and even though I have more than I can drink, I really just can't stop.

I'm also an architect, and am part-owner of a wine cooperative, The Wine Guild of Charlottesville (technically an LLC), and love collecting and writing about wine.
