I've been at the hobby since 1993 back in college. Those first batches done on the stove in the biggest pot I had. Of course there was a huge boil over or two. It has become a very slow moving obsession. I finally don't have equipment to blame for bad beers. I've brewed 7 times on it now and I still have bugs to work out. With the new equipment came the ability to focus on such things as water chemistry, which I'm currently learning.
As for styles I've brewed: IPA's, APA's, English Bitters, Mexican Cerveca, attempted peach wheat (bad), lots of wheats. Then there are German styles... Yeah I've brewed lots of them but now I want to advance in the art. Also, I like beer. I like drinking it as much as making it :) I want to learn the science of it and the history of brewing as I brew beers from whatever parts of the world.
I look forward to learning from you, the experts and the weekend warriors.
