Clone wanted - Mic amber bock

Along with Zombie Dust, Michelob Amber Bock is one of my favorite beers. I think it is an underrated beer because of the Michelob name.

    Counterflow failure

Agreed. 90 psi is way too high for a residence. To male constant repairs, I would think he is a plumber or has a very good friend that is. But he also said he was not turning the tap water on and off rapidly, so there should be no hammering. There should be no air in the system and it is odd...

Really. What would you think the pressure in the column is

    Counterflow failure

I used 3/8 copper inside 3/4 to cool 12 gallons for over 10 years with no particular attention to flow rates. Just varied cold water to obtain lowest wort temperature. Never had a problem. I never heard of this kind of problem and was wondering if anyone else has or knows of any problems with CFC.

    Sorry, 3/8

    Counterflow failure

I think the crush pressure for 3/6 annealed copper tube is around 800 psi.

90 psi seems pretty high for tap water.

    My DIY keggle setup. pics!

It is not the lid I would worry about. It is that grinder falling and turning at 10,000 rpm and when everything starts to break apart and flying everywhere.

Guess I like my fingers an eyes the way they are. So no. I used the jig like Bobbys. Although I will say I did not like the wide flange the grinders leave so I used a small hand grinder and cut the flange back to within 1/4 inch of the outter wall. Also welded the handle openings closed with a...

Bad idea if the whole thing falls into the keg when it is cut. Check YouTube for videos by "Bobby from New Jersey". He makes a jig which will not fall thru.

    Counterflow failure

Blickman does make a nice pump. Just not high velocity. I guess I was misinformed because I thought Bernoulli said that with an increase in velocity, there is a corresponding decrease in pressure. And what fun would it be if I came right out with the answer to the collapsing pipe mystery? I...

    Counterflow failure

All that may be true, but that Blickman is by no means a high pressure pump. With 1/2 inch lines it is rated, (in a perfect world) at 7 gallons/ minute. 3/8 inch copper lines are rated around 2gpm. So how many gpm do you think the Blickman is pushing thru the 3/8 lines. I also am not sure why...

    Counterflow failure

That would be an amazing amount of vacuum to collapse 3/8 copper tube. Compressors run near 30 inches of vacuum and I have never seen one collapse any of its copper components. Although, much of it is steel.

    Counterflow failure

None of which would cause the 3/8 copper to collapse.
