I get that feeling too. It just sucks bc they have those basic brew kits, and I like getting the interesting ones from great fermentations and other places more!

I see on some recipes things like 3.2 pounds of Xxx grain, or 0.62 ounces of this hops. Or odd measure,wants like 7.3 pounds of a liquid malt extract. Do yall actually measure that precise? Or are there websites where you can put in a specialty order like that and get it shopped? And...
Hello. Most extract kits I have used recommend a 6.5 gallon carboy. I only have one. But I have multiple 5 gallon carboys. Most beers I've brewed have an inch of two of krausen. Any reason I can't just use five gallon carboys for primary fermentation?
