In my experience rehydrating the yeast isn't necessary, although I've only brewed beer before.
I read in this thread somewhere that people are indeed carbing this similar to beer (bottle priming sugars).
I just brewed a batch of this with 4 gallons of Solana Gold Organic Gravenstein and a half gallon of fresh pressed pumpkin juice. I'll let you know how it goes!
Brewed up a "Pumpkin Pie Graff" this weekend.
My buddy brought over his Norwalk juicer and we ended up getting 1/2 gallon of Pumpkin juice out of 8-9 lbs of fresh organic sugar pie pumpkins.
We used another couple of pounds of pulverized pumpkin flesh and steeped that with 0.6 lbs Crystal 120...
Curious to know if one of these could easily be used for transfering liquid from primary to keg, or with some sort of filter for the purpose of filtering only. Clearly, it's build for bottling, but it has its own pump built in that I'm curious to know if could serve multiple purposes like other...
