    LOB Dry Hop Idea

I tried it out the other day. As predicted, clogged poppet. I don't have triclamps otherwise I'd give one of these other ideas a go. I was just hoping adding the blender pulverization step would avoid the clogged poppet, it didn't. Next step might be to try the same thing with the poppets...

    Monitoring spunding pressure through BrewPi/Fermentrack

@MacDee you make any progress on this? I was thinking of tackling something similar to this as my next brewery project. I don't actually care about plotting the data as much as I do closed-loop control for spunding.

    LOB Dry Hop Idea

So, I brewed 12 gallons of pilsner a few weeks ago and pushed 5 gallons into a keg last night. I was wanting to dryhop the remaining beer. I have 6 gallons in a 16 gallon fermenter at 36° F, 10 psi. I really don't want to bleed all that CO2 off to add the hops. I had the following thought. Add...

Fermentrack: Fermentation monitoring & BrewPi-www Replacement for Raspberry Pi

I've been using Fermentrak very happily for about 2 years now with minimal fuss. Last week I finally clicked on the update from Github banner in hopes that it would fix the "no graph" issue I've been having. I'm not sure it ever updated or did anything positive or negative. I think I changed the...

    Pure Nitrogen for Homebrew

The tiny bubbles are caused by the higher pressurized beer being forced through tiny holes in the stout faucet.

    Decoction

I use a single burner portable butane stove. You can get a cheap one that's maybe 15k BTU/hr for $20. They are also useful for wok cooking, dining table cooking and camping.

    Wanted: Mash pH Measurements

OK, I found this: BYO Principles of pH. It agrees with what you're saying. I'm pretty well on board with it. So, that being said, the MpH spreadsheet prediction seems to be off then. Maybe Beersmith is closer (it wanted 100 mL vs 71 mL?) Perhaps my SOP is poor? I calibrated at 4/7/10 before my...

    Wanted: Mash pH Measurements

I'm using an Apera SX620. I can't seem to find any documentation to confirm or refute what you've said. I have no reason to reject your claim though. The only thing I've found says "±0.01 pH accuracy; Automatic 3-point calibration; 0-60˚C Automatic Temp. Compensation," so I figured I was good...

    Wanted: Mash pH Measurements

16.5 lb Best Pilsen - 1.8L 21.6 qts RO water 0.92 g CaSO4 1.07 g CaCl 71 mL phosphoric - 10% Mash pH 5.30 @ 20 min, 50.5 ºC So, I've learned that I've been measuring pH incorrectly. I wouldn't use either this entry or the one above for anything.

    Wanted: Mash pH Measurements

9 lb Best Pilsen - 1.8L 1 lb Avangard Munich - 6L 1 lb flaked oats - 1L 14.75 qts RO water (I've tested my RO water with a salifert test for alkalinity and it changes color on the first drop, so there should be very little carbonate in it, I treat is as distilled and assume 0 for all ions when...
