    PPG and volume question

    I'm a little confused reading How to Brew. All of his examples are for 5 gallons of beer. Everything I've read targets 6 gallons at the end of the boil to get 5.5 into the fermenter and 5 into the bottles or keg. A half gallon loss in kettle and a half in the fermenter is assumed for trub/yeast...
