    Fermentation controller

    Is there a network thermostat that can be installed into a ferment fridge? I use the inkbird itc1000 but would like to see the temp from my phone and adjust the settings. If it had a second input to monitor the beer temp as well as the ambient fridge temp, that would be a bonus.

    Trouble reaching OG. HELP!

    13.25 lbs of grain +1lb corn sugar in boil was called for in my IPA recipe. I worked backward to a certain extent to start, figured 13 lbs x 1.5 quarts per lb = 5 gallons +/- to start the mash. Warmed the 10 gallon igloo cooler, added 4.5 gallons of water at 165 degrees, stirred in the grain...

    Cold crash in keg

    Do you need to vent the keg if you rack to a secondary in a keg an cold crash in the fridge. This batch is an ale, if I was lagering would that need a vent/ airlock on the keg. This is after the 3 week primary fermentation. Thanks, Jim

    Fist time kegging

    I tried to force carb my beer at 30psi for 36 hours roiling the keg periodically. Today I d pressurized the keg, and brought it up to 10lbs and all I'm getting is foam, glass after glass. Probably 10. Turned the pressure down to 4, same thing. Is there a trick I'm missing? Thanks, Jim

    What is the minimum time you would leave to carbonate a Blonde Ale in the keg? Trying to rush a beer for a party. It looks like it is done fermenting after a week.     Hydrometer question

    Has anyone left a hydrometer floating in your carboy during fermentation? I want to check often as I believe it is about to finish, but hate to risk contamination. Is there anything wrong with trying this provided I leave enough room so it does not bump the top? Just a thought. Thanks.

    What size mash tun for 5 gallon batches
