    Classification for contest question

    I have a traditional mead that is @ 1.000 gravity but tastes quite sweet when you drink it. In what catagory would I place it in if I decide to enter it into a contest- Dry, Semi-Sweet or Sweet? Does it depend more on the taste or the FG?

    I started 2 meads on the same day a few weeks ago. One with D47 (a varietal) and one with 71B (Blood Orange Mead.) It is interesting that the 71B has way more lees than the D47. Is this typical?
