http://www.harborfreight.com/12-volt-marine-utility-pump-9576.html Think this would work for a HLT to whirlpool

Seriously the easiest DIY ever for bottling bucket dip tube

Major props to OP and Revy for this mod, it works great, went from a little over 8 ounces left over to less than 2 ounces, could not believe how well this worked. Forgot to mention, only cost me $0.74. The SWMBO was thrilled that I didn't even break a dollar going to Lowes.

    Electric HLT qsuestion

That's the pump I was getting, figured for the price it couldn't hurt, I'm just moving water anyways.

    Electric HLT qsuestion

I've seen somewhere on this forum where they attached a paint stirrer to a ice cream mixer motor. Thought of doing this, but settled on whirl pooling.

    Electric HLT qsuestion

One of the additions I made was another bulkhead and whirlpool tube. After looking at others, I thought of that. Thanks for letting me know, I still feel like. I'm missing something. I'll also be doing a build thread on it soon.

    Electrical noob needs serious help

I'm building an electric HLT for my all grain set up and it's making me feel really stupid, not a new feeling to me when dealing with electrical stuff. This is what I got so far : 1 big ass SS Pot, Auber PID, 40amp SSR with heat sink, 1/2" thermocoupler for PID, 2000 watt element, SS Lock...

Do you have a pic of your manifold, I'm interested in seeing one done for a rectangular cooler.

Bringing this thread back up due to progress. I'm going with a 2000 watt element and pid with ssr. What amp ssr will I need. Also anyone had the screw-in thermocoupler, can I screw it directly into the kettle and what size hole are they generally.

    Anyone used a drill pump

I've seen a few builds that started with one and ended with them buying a pump. They seem to work just fine.

    Mini-Fridge Door Rebuild

Plasti dip works great. I've only used the spray can and love it. Only 2 warnings, make sure you watch for overspray and it may start to peel on smooth glass or metal surfaces. You could easily spray a glass carboy and then peel it all off in a few days.

No Frills SS 10 gallon pot

Got my pots in today and all I can say is Wow. I got a 50qt and 60qt from stereo345 for $170. These pots are thick, heavy and look great. I highly recommend them. If you have any questions he is pretty quick to answer.

MalFet's bottle washer for lazy homebrewers

That, my friend, is awesome. I've seen the ones done for fermenters, carboys and kegs, but never thought to use the same concept for bottles. Subbed do I can steal that, great idea.

No Frills SS 10 gallon pot

The pots Ajgeo was talking about, I just ordered with that same seller. He worked with me to ship a 50qt and a 60qt together to save me some money on shipping. I'm supposed to get them in the 15th, I'll let you know how they look.

Anyone know of a source for long stem thermometers?

Just about any place that sells turkey fryers should have them. If you got an Academy in MO, they definitely have them
