Stainless sparge arm = let down!!!

Using a pump or gravity? I've got an old copper version of that sparge arm that works fantastic with a pump, not so well when using gravity.

Where did you get the fittings from? I've done a little shopping around and noticed there's quite a range of prices out there.

Quick Potentially Dangerous Angle Grinder Question

Try flipping the nut around and see if that secures it. On my grinder the nut is concave on one side and I have to use that side facing the cutting wheel when using thin disks. If it's a thicker one (grinding wheel) it will secure it regardless of what side of the nut faces it. If that...

Out disconnect on In post, HELP!

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one that's done this. I was going to just relieve the pressure on the keg. Had beer shooting all over the place, it was quite the mess. This won me our club's 'Lite Weight' award last year. The lesson(s) learned were to not tell ANYONE about events...

    The single tier build.

Now that's a tank. I like it. 2" square tubing? or 1.5"? Curious to see how the control thing turns out. My grill is in storage otherwise I'd run out into the garage right now and look at that.

    O2 Tank Types

What are you using for a filter? The thought of using the O2 from torch setup that I have has crossed my mine from time to time since I already have it.

    hlt pump

I know a couple of people using a pump from a dishwasher. Don't know where they got them but they seem happy with them.

    siphon for Sabco False Bottom

Do you run into any issues losing the siphon with the union as the connection? Good tip, I wouldn't have noticed that the first session or two. Did you have to unscrew the coupler first before pulling the FB out? Just found out someone in our club went the same route as what I was...

    siphon for Sabco False Bottom

I've pretty much decided that I'm going to splurge and get the false bottom that Sabco makes. However, I am having a tough time justifing dropping the coin on the universal siphon that they make. Am sure it's nice but can buy a lot of copper and grain for that $$. My thought for a siphon...

    half couplings??

Great tip on adding the nipple inside for the sight gauge. I'm in the process of figuring out what to get welded on to my keggles. Saved me a headache or two. Question regarding the temp probe though. I was planning on a 1/2 coupling for that. How durable are those thermometers (I'm...

    Question about Golden Gate keg

That sounds like a Hoff-Stevens keg. I'd pass as handles are nice to have...

    Keggle/Burner Incompatibility...Burner Mod?

You could put a couple of pieces of flat steel on the ring and then place the keg on those. Have seen that done once or twice. Probably not a permanent solution but would get you by until one presents itself.

    Midwest Supplies Praises and PRICES

X2 My last purchase was just under $20 each shipped. Had to get 25 of them but didn't take long to get rid of what I didn't want/need.

    March pump mad

Pulled the trigger on one last night. By far the cheapest price I was able to find, but I don't have to worry about shipping over the border. I can darn near see it but am on the cheap (shipping) side. Now if it will just get here in time to use this weekend...

    New Keggle

Quick correction to the O-ring pn. 939K286 doesn't appear to be valid. I did find 9396K286 though which appear to have the same description as what was posted.

    MFL flare angle?

    Thanks for the info!

    MFL flare angle?

What is the angle of the flare for the MFL connection that is commonly used in beer equipment? 37 (JIC) or 45 (SAE). Digging around on McMaster looking for a MFL to Pipe thread adapter and am finding a few candidates but there are two different flare types.

    Time for an upgrade!

If you have an 4 or 4.5" angle grinder cutting the top out is a peice of cake. If you don't have an angle grinder you can pick up a cheap one at Harbor Freight that SHOULD (they are pretty cheap) last long enough to do the job. Put a cutting wheel on it. Draw a 12" dia circle (find...
