Im getting the same 502 Bad Gateway after updating. I thought i had the docker version so ran the update script vis SSH but throwing lots of errors so maybe not. Any ideas? Thanks! pi@raspberrypi:~/fermentrack-tools $ ./docker-update.sh Using default tag: latest Got permission denied while...

Need Help With CraftBeerPi 3 Configuration

I cant help with any of the alarm/pausing parts, but... #4 - I use the PID Arduino logic to maintain the HLT temp with the HERMS coil in it. There is a PID AutoTune addon to help getting the PID settings #7/8 - Simple Boil Logic addon - allows you to configure a ramp up power and a boil power...

Boil kettle condenser - no overhead ventilation needed

Hey @Bobby_M Just wondering if there is any ETA on the Steam Slayer stock? Would prefer not to go with the wide body if dont need to. Many Thanks!

    Hosehead Brewery

Put me down as another happy customer. Had mine 18 months, 30 odd batches and no issues at all - works great and easy to use, and excellent value compared to the alternatives (unless building yourself). I did have to replace the raspberry pi in mine - not sure what happened but it stopped...

OK. I'm done letting my beer sit in the garage while praying to the temperature gods for mercy.

Another advocate for using fridge(s) here too... After going round in circles about using a chest freezer, building a chamber etc i settled on 2 mini fridges - big enough to fit a 5gal bucket each and having 2 is great to be able to control them independently - use fermentrack and works great...

    Making Videos of My Brewday

At work so only skimmed through, but 2 things I picked up on: - Need to film in landscape rather than portrait - The pump noise during the mash was a little annoying to listen to after a while Otherwise content seemed pretty good

    Post boil gravity

Yes, right you are - thanks. Have edited Did allow sample to cool for a bit before taking reading, and then used a temp adj calculator. I dont recall the exact temp but think it was probably still a little above 100F though so will look at this next brew and get it cooler. Will also re look at...

    Post boil gravity

Taking the samples at the end of the boil - before transferring to fermentor. In the example I posted we did a reading with about 5 mins to go and then a flame out

    Post boil gravity

Hi, Hoping someone has a theory in to why i might be missing on the post boil gravity readings. Last brew: Est post mash/pre boil = 1.045 Actual post mash/pre boil = 1.043 boil volume = 7.3gal (as expected) post boil volume = 5.8 gal (as expected) Est post boil = 1.059 Actual post boil =...

Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

Thanks Thorrak...latest update has fixed the issue (running ESP also) On a different note - the "enable gravity support" setting doesnt seem to do anything now...i have it set to off but still have the option/ability to set up gravity devices on the main page Thanks again!

Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

Possibly related... I just finished fermenting a beer, went to turn the controller off and got the same message... "Unable to parse temperature control settings provided" Seems I can change temp settings etc but nothing will allow me to turn the temp control off Any ideas?

You can certainly assign the same sensor to 2 kettles so cannot see why it wouldnt work. If both elements are in the same kettle then im not sure how you'd set that up as I think each kettle can only have one actor (element) - but if you set up as 2 kettles it should be fine. Edit - Sorry, I am...

    Hosehead Brewery

Agreed...i dont care for facebook in the slightest. But as for craftbeerpi, it isnt a company...its a guy writing software in his spare time for free. The user group is just a bunch of people discussing/helping each other out no different to the forums here. Personally id much rather use...

    Hosehead Brewery

Did you set the boil element up as GPIOPWM? This is required for controlling the power (it doesnt actually change the power to the element but pulses it on and off). I also use the "SimpleBoilLogic" add on which runs the element full power until reaches boil temp then drops it back to 60%. All...

    Hosehead Brewery

I dont believe there is a direct upgrade path. Most recommend setting up a new sd card from scratch and installing v3 on that - so if any issues you can just put the old card in. Otherwise there should be no reason why you cant install v3 in addition to 2.2. You'll just need to ensure 2.2 is...

    exhaust fan

I, after endless research and flip flopping, went with the S600 Vortex and the biggest storage container i could find as the hood. Works great albeit with a very short ducting run, though I do get a slight drip from the fan (luckily above the sink) but isnt enough to bother me.

I emailed Cory a couple months ago and confirmed there is no buzzer. Agree also on the Hosehead - been using it (with CraftBeerPi) 6 months now and couldn't be happier with it.

    Commercial Stir Plates

I had been looking at this one too...any thoughts on if it would handle a 5L flask? Thanks!

Native ESP8266 BrewPi Firmware - WiFi BrewPi, no Arduino needed!

This is likely a simple question, but is there any way to see where you are within the profile? ie I want to see when the next temp adjustment is due. Perhaps a way to show the entire profile on the chart

Trouble getting Craftbeerpi to stop heating when temp is reached

The frequency is the duty cycle of the element. It doesn't actually reduce power to the element but just cycles it on and off. I'm using the Aurdino plugin on simple in the HLT but the boil kettle I'm currently using the SimpleBoilLogic with PWM and set the Hz to 0.5 - still playing with this a...
