Noted.ill see how this tastes after bottling, but going from the audience I seem to be high. Oh well, itll be drunk and enjoyed. Next time.
I also subbed crystal for the cluster
True. I figure with a gravity of 1.090, 50 ibu wouldnt be too bitter. I targeted around 50 and it's in the fermenter, starting to bubble away!
My russian imperial comes out to about 90 ibu with my software, and its not bitter at all. Thanks for the input. So what did you switch up in your brew????
Brewing this tomorrow. Searched for an IBU range just for reference with only one member saying they got 43 from their software. I plan on being around 50. Any input would be appreciated.
Yeah they screw on and have gaskets. Im guessing it loosened up from a quarter turn. I turn it so i can fill it while its on the ground and i have my car boy above. Guess when i turned it back it, it loosened a little off the thread with the pressure pushing out on the bucket and it just popped...
Nothing too soon. Have 2 russian imperials that'll be ready to bottle at the end of October and November. Looks like I'll be brewing again sooner than later

I was about to bottle a nice centennial blonde and my nozzle blew off. I frantically tried to stuff it back in, then paused as i watched my 5 gallons of pride go down the drain. *Single tear*
Just had my first couple bottles of my first ever batches. This beer is simply delish, definitely gonna be brewing this more often then not. Id like to try some of your other recipes since this beer seemed to mesh well with my taste. Again, thanks for the recipe and all the input. Got my 2nd...
Newbie here. Huge fan of stouts but a little intimidated in brewing one while im still so green, buuut i saved this recipe to one of my apps (i believe brewfather). Anyway, i plugged it all in, and all the calculations were close except for color. Im reading at 76! I mean i love a dark stout...
Recipe looks beautiful. My local brew shop has light and dark munich. The lighter being 8 lovi and the darker being 13. Or does it not matter and im just being a noob?
