I just put three plants in this morning. Still looking for some Pink Brandywine but in case I don't find them I put in a German Queen plant. Haven't tried them before but I wanted to have another heirloom in case I can't find the pink Brandywine. Had great luck with them last season.

Somewhere on here there is a great quote about home brewers being able to find more things to worry about. If nothing else here is true, that sure is.

I have had this happen a couple times with NO ill-effect. Why can't you sample before bottling???? You can't undo it so sampling before bottling might save you some work if it isn't worth bottling.

Wholeheartedly agree. I've "owned" most all of the SW I use and quite satisfied with the arrangement.

The pay-once model does not exclude updates necessarily. That may just be the implementation that the vendor chose. Make no mistake, subscription model is profit driven.

I wasn't going to ask how the OP managed to have two unmarked substances in the brewery. I went with benefit of the doubt.

I think I'd use the "cleans better test" VS the "taste test" Also, my PBW has a coarser/different texture than dextrose.

"West Coast Hero" by Revolution. Not sure how long this has been out, it's a limited release, but I find it delicious! Wonderful hop aroma and taste. If you're not into "hoppy" you probably will not like this one. I personally am heading to the store to find more, more I tell ya!

You will pickup a fair amount of bitter with a 20 and a 15 minute addition and with 15 minutes of boil you won't get much aroma of the Mosaic. I'd be inclined to stick to 1 oz Chinook for 60, 2 oz Cascade at 2 min and save the Mosaic for whirlpool (170 degrees) for 10 after flameout, or...
