Belgian Golden Strong Ale Pink Elephant (Delirium Tremens clone)

Thanks so much to everyone for your contributions to this thread. I decided to try my hand at a belgian strong, starting with HuRRiC4Ne's extract version and (obviously) making my own adjustments and mistakes. :) OG hit 1.073 but I think I pitched the WLP570 too low - of course, this is the time...

Winter Seasonal Beer Harpoon Winter Warmer Clone

Hi all, I know this post is a decade old, but hoping someone can answer a question for me. I'm brewing this beer, but I don't rack to a secondary, and I keg. When is the best time to add the spices? - Into the fermenter with my yeast - after fermenting is mostly complete but before kegging -...

    Ginger Ale (kegged)

Mix of turbinado and brown is a good mix. Haven’t tried vanilla but it sounds like a good addition.

British Golden Ale Miraculix Best - Classic English Ale

Hi there - this brew looks awesome! Eager to try it - for those of us doing extract brewing, do you have suggestions for how to replace with DME or LME? Thanks!

    Sixpoint Sweet Action Clone?

Hey folks, I know this thread is 10 years old, but I've been trying and trying to make a Sweet Action clone and borrowed from contributors here (thanks to utopeya, magee, osmodeus) to build a recipe, then translate it into an extract. Anyway, finally got something good enough to share so in case...

    Sapporo Inspired Ale

    Warm Fermented Lager Thread

Okay, sorry if this is off-topic, and I'm definitely showing my ignorance. I'd like to try a WF lager. My husband loves lagers, and I haven't tried one yet because I have no cold fermenting location. 1. I guess there are a lot of different types of lager, so I want to make sure I brew one we'll...

    Brewing happiness is...

Really interested in learning more about this. My husband loves lagers but I don't have the space/want to make another investment to cold ferment. Our compromise has been cream ales, but where can I find out more about WF lagers and how they compare?

    ISO personalized beer mugs/pint glasses

Hi all - I recognize this is a very random post. I'm hosting an event at a local brewery this summer and would like to give guests personalized beer mugs or pint glasses as a "giveaway." I only need 100 or so, and at those small numbers I can't find any affordable options. Do any of you brewers...

    Ginger Ale (kegged)

Sorry, I should have been more specific. I'd like to brew ginger beer (non-alcoholic) for the kiddo to keep in my kegerator alongside some beers. Has anyone brewed ginger beer and is the recipe similar to the ginger ale recipe in this thread?

    Ginger Ale (kegged)

Maybe someone already asked about this, but is there a difference here between ginger beer and ginger ale?

Tell me what to brew next! (poll)

Unrelated to your post (but I voted!) we are filling out a kegerator and upgrading to a multi tap system. I read that including a keg of root beer (specifically root beer) can leach flavors into the beer. Have you seen that happen?

Better to ferment at low temperature or high temperature

Fair enough. Sadly, I don't have a setup to cold ferment lagers. These beers are just hanging out, fermenting in my basement.

If you come up with a solution, let me know. I ended up buying replacement feet. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Better to ferment at low temperature or high temperature

Thanks for this (and other similar) reply. I’m a beginning brewer also and have never seen anything in instructions about considering the rise in temperature due to the fermentation when trying to maintain optimal temp for the yeast. It’s never even occurred to me that I’m automatically...

First 5 gallon batch using Digiboil

A note about the 18,500 BTU burner: That's what I use for a 3 gallon boil, and I've noticed that when the kettle sits there boiling for upwards of an hour and a half, it is melting the little pads that sit on the bottom of the cooktop grates. I've actually started using the less powerful burners...
