My washer is only 5ft away from my brewing set up. I even use the cold water line going to the washer to supply my thermochiller. I put my laundry in the washer and drain my chiller into it until full and do a load of laundry. Water is expansive here.

Wanted a even more compact unit. Takes up less space (no mash container). I can also keep the mash on temp then mash out with just setting the temp I want to mash out at. I usually brew 2 batches back to back. I've been tinkering with a 45min mash and a 45min boil time.

I have made Amarillo IPA many times and have never put my pellet hops in a bag. Thats 4 ozs of hops. Just make sure if you are doing a late addition you dissolve it throughly before you turn the pump on or you might get a clog at the kettle outlet.

I have just used zip tyes to attach my SS braid. I think you should go that route first cause they are cheap. I don't baby my cooler MLT at all and havn't had any problems in many months of brewing.
