    Fill CO2 tank with yeast?

Or just prime with corn sugar and run off a couple cloudy pints, then you can use whatever vessel youve decided on at 15psi for dispensing. I know it's a great DIY project but it doesnt seem easier or less expensive, IMHO.

    PEX for kegorator lines?

While working in the industry I never saw stainless fittings, only brass. I don't like the idea of brass and beer but that's just me. Also I am pretty sure vinyl would be cheaper and easier. Any reason you want to use pex?

2nd Pitching Advice on a Belgian Strong

I would just pitch another 1388. But with that low of an OG why are you repitching at all? I didn't have to do that for a 1.080 batch I've made.

I think I'm done with WYeast

We carry only Wyeast for liquid at my work. We always make sure to rotate stock and only order what we know will sell. With that in mind I have never had anything but luck. Always puffs, ferments, and tastes the way it should and any problem I've had I could trace back to something I did. And...

    Quick Bottling question

Uh, what? It usually takes a bottle a couple weeks to complete carbonation. If you were to put it in the fridge you would put the yeast to "sleep" and carbonation would take months. Am I missing something? How long have they been in the bottle already? My bottles usually sit for three weeks...

Just got hired at the LHBS

Cellar! But please if you come in please don't mention I started bragging online. :D

Just got hired at the LHBS

Wow. Let's all just chill for a second. I'm in Seattle. It's a 25% discount because it's a small shop and he and I have discussed his mark ups and profit margins before, I know the position he is in. I don't see it as unfair at all. Everyone who works there already buys hops and other stuff...

Just got hired at the LHBS

25% so I'll really only be getting grain, yeast and other consumables. Still gonna order online for hops. Although there is a 15gal Boilermaker there that has suddenly caught my eye.

Just got hired at the LHBS

:rockin::ban::rockin::mug::rockin::ban::rockin: Put my resume in a couple days ago. Got a call today while I was at work, no interview just hired. He told me how much he was going to pay me and that he could give me 40 hours. Done. He said I could start today or in two weeks if needed...

    Apfelwein - Still or Sparkling?

I think it's about a year in the bottle for best results.

Stop me before I do something stupid.

Anybody else got some thoughts? I may pull the trigger on this today. Just came back with 2 gallons of Knudsen's Apple juice. Which is bottled where in my hometown of Chico, California. Lot of good stuff get's made in that town. Like the sandwiches at Jasco's/Broadway Heights.. I may use US-05...

Stop me before I do something stupid.

Skyforger - like 1.5 - 2 #s? Daxdefranco - I do use beercalculus but they measure apple juice in # not oz. So, yeah I gotta do it by hand. Peachwein - Is there anything more important than brewing?!?

Stop me before I do something stupid.

I've got some extra time and an open carboy I hardly use so I went back to an idea I had for a malted cider with a citrus hop aroma. This is a VERY rough idea, the reason for the 3# of 10L is because I have had it a while and need to use it soon and I wanted some unfermentable sugars to keep it...

DIY Rotating Fly Sparge Arm. Build and pics.

Dudes. Chill. Soon. *cough* But seriously I just hate taking the time to create some account on youtube and upload and blah blah blah. Sometimes I wonder how I get anything done. Except for brewing of course. Give me a day.

Woops. Low mash temp = 110 IBU.

I have it but my taste can wander pretty far from this scale:D. It was my desktop background for a little while there.

Woops. Low mash temp = 110 IBU.

Used Beercalculus.com and adjust for a 3.5 gal boil and top off to 5. But my starting gravity changed because my eff was low = I had less sugars to offset the bitterness = My IBU's "go up" because the balance had changed???

Woops. Low mash temp = 110 IBU.

I am only doing a 3.5 gal boil and topping off that is why my IBU's are lower. What would it read at if it were 5 gal batch with only 3. 5 gal boil and a 2.5 gal top off?
