    Zombie Plan

What you want for a zombie survival plan is to get out into the wilderness, make a structure of some sort in the trees, and only leave when you need supplies. As for the prime way to kill a zombie, if you're going for a gun you should be using a .22 caliber rifle. The ammo is really cheap and...

    Rochester NY Area Winery/Brewery Tours

Agreed. If you're ever in Maryland you should check out Linganore Winery. They're the biggest one in MD and they have some pretty good wines. They also do wine festivals once a month for about half of the year where they have live music, a bunch of tastings and you can buy bottles, chill in...

    Rochester NY Area Winery/Brewery Tours

I haven't done enough wine tasting of the same style of wine with slight differences (oaked vs. non-oaked vs. heavily oaked, etc) to really comment on that. However, I'm taking this sweet class called Wines of the World in the fall which I'm stoked for. Hopefully will learn a thing or two from it.

    BMC...the switch-a-roo

That's weird. I've never gotten the wrong beer at any restaurant.

I'm more of a Chardonnay type guy. Dryish white wine. Occasionally red, but not a big fan of it being room temperature and not a big fan of sweet wines. But I'll try any of them once.

Oh ya, that's definitely what the lake's name was. Awesome, I'll make sure to visit those places.

Wow. Yes, Keyuka was the one that we went to I think. Wherever the Thirsty Owl Winery is. That's the only one I remember that we stopped at.

I couldn't even find a price when I was looking at the Siebel program. That looks awesome though.

Will I have problems with super long primary?

I thought I read somewhere that if you leave your beer in primary on the yeast then when the dead yeast start to decay you can get off flavors. Not true?

Dry hop, 1 week or 2 weeks?

I dry hopped once and it was for just under two weeks. Every now and again I think I taste a slight grassy taste to the beer, but it is by no means overpowering or very obvious. Doing it again I would probably dry hop for a week.

Hmm. I don't think I've been to Seneca Lake before. I went to some other lake and there were wineries everywhere, but I wasn't 21 at the time. I'll have to give that a look. I go to college in Rochester, so I do have time for day trips every here and there. ;)

    Top 5 Beers!

I would say give some Flying Dog beers a shot. They're a relatively small brewery (located in my hometown which is how I know them). I like their Raging ***** Belgian IPA, also the Gonzo Imperial Porter is good. The Snake Dog IPA is good too. They're a very hoppy brewery.

    First Homebrew Success!

My friends don't really understand good beer either. They always make fun of me tasting 3 or 4 before picking one when we go to the bar down the street (50+ taps). My first (and so far only) brew was an extract double IPA kit, which came out awesomely. Glad to hear you succeeded too.
