This was kegged a month ago and it is really getting good. I haven't had a fat tire in a long time but I'm sure it isn't even close.
It is however so good that this might just become one of my regular brews.

This is the first time I've used biscuit and I don't think it is over powering at all. I think 1056 likes to ferment the "unfermentable" in specialty malts. The one pound total of crystal malts didn't make it too sweet either.
Hey, if you like I would be glad to send you some so you can evaluate it for yourself. I'll include some of my pumpkin ale as well if you like.:mug:
EDIT: PM your information if you would like to get some samples

I'm game, but I'm way behind on being able to send anything good out. I still need to get some brews out to Brewpastor. If he doesn't mind I'm going to wait until the Smoked IPA is ready so I can get his feedback.

You interested in trying that?

Looks about right to me. I use slightly different hops but my grain bill is about the same. Fat Tire is a forbidden pleasure out here sadly.

No hurry Dude. I'll try anything you would be willing to send.
I am going to bottle some next week. I'll see if I can get some out to you. :mug:

Don't ask me how I know, but your grain bill is close to that of Fat Tire. I am not sure about the hops and I am sure the yeast is not what they use, but the recipe looks good. I may have to give it a try.

I served this beer at our belated Christmas party at work and it went over like no beer I've ever seen. Everyone was saying how smooth it was and some said it has a nice nutty flavor.
This is in no way a good clone for fat tire but it went over well and I like it too.
I wonder what a different yeast would do???

I'm just about to brew the Fat Tire Clone from Austin Home Brew. Should go well I hope.
