anyone else ever try this, been a while since i've done it, but i remember it tasting like cookie dough, aged it on cherry wood. called it cherry pie, lol
 
Nah, I use my molasses for rum and grains for whiskey.

Sounds kinda good tho, send me a jar and I'll give you reviews. lol

Molasses is such a strong base that I really couldn't see the grains contributing to too much flavor, but I could be wrong because I've never tried it.

I do a rumskey with 30% corn 30% oats 30% barley and 10% molasses.

It's really nice and has a recipe on HD called sweetfeed whiskey. Good stuff!

sounds good, i'd probably try it 50% barley 25% wheat and 25% molases though...thanks for the idea! got an empty Carlo Rosi sitting on the shelf....
