12 oz Pale Chocolate
8 oz Chocolate Wheat
4 oz American Chocolate

8 oz Lactose, Boil, 30 min

1 1/2 oz Centennial, 10AA, 20 min

S-04 English Ale

Mash 10 qt @ 155F, 60 min
Sparge 15 qt @ 170F, 20 min
 
This recipe looks good. What does the lactose do to the beer?
