If you're looking to measure the gravity of your beer then this thing is awesome.

The STM Instruments eDrometer is a digital hydrometer - not a refractometer - which means that you don't have to fuss with calculators post fermentation and can trust that the readings you get are accurate. It allows you to get a hydrometer reading with ~12-15 ml of wort/beer, which lets you keep more of your beer in your fermenter and less in a hydrometer test jar.


I'm looking to clean out my closet of accumulated equipment, and have a glut of devices that can be used to measure specific gravity. At the moment I have two digital hydrometers and as a result am looking to sell this one off.

I think so. It has the input for the "v2" power adapter as opposed to the input for the "v1" version but I don't think it says "Version 2" or "Version 1" anywhere.

i am searching for that STM edrometer. i have one that no longer works properly. i cannot recalibrate it and the scroll button will not work. it is not a battery issue. having a hard time trying to find/purchase one of these. i live in Kitchener, Ontario. Canada. can you help me with this purchase and if so how much $$?

Unfortunately, it has been sold. I recommend looking at the Anton Parr EasyDens as an alternative if the edrometer is no longer available.

@Marie Graham have you considered this? A little more expensive but i think it is where the technology is going.
Also- i think a person could get this anywhere (amazon, lots of U.S.A. sites that ship up north) even easily in Canada, eh.
