This article discusses a specific variety of hops. For general information about selecting, using or propogating hops, see the main hop page

Citra Hops were cultivated in 2008 or 2009 by Sierra Nevada Brewing Co and Widmer Brothers Brewing. Citra is a higher AA hop with flavors of pineapple, mango, other tropical frutis, and citrus. It is a hybrid consisting of Hallertauer Mittelfrüh, U.S. Tettnanger, East Kent Golding, and others.

It is primarily used in pale ales or IPAs, and is often used as an aroma hop or in dry hopping. It is currently used in Sierra Nevada's "Torpedo Extra IPA", Widmer's "Sunburn" summer seasonal, and others.
