It also missing the pick-up tube for the false bottom.
This image is from the Chapman site. It is showing just a tube from the false bottom to kettle port.
I see Bobby has a 90degree fitting for false bottoms, so that should work.
I saw images of people using an all SS dip tube for the...
I picked up this 20gal Chapman for basically nothing.
Its SS and insulated so I figure a step up from my 12gal coleman plastic cooler.
Anyone ever put a thermowell in these? Or changed out the ports.
The port is a threaded sleeve that basically clears the outer SS shell.
Then it is just...
The cooler is the vessel of cold water maintained by the aquarium chiller.
It has pumps in the cooler that turn on/off when the fermenter calls for chilling
I guess I should have at least posted a photo of the chiller.. thought I did.
I am not seeing the exact one I have on Amazon.
Think it is rated for a 65gal aquarium...
I was previously using a DIY chiller made from a window AC unit.
It worked but was loud and not very efficient.
I got a deal on an aquarium chiller so I planned out a new build.
It has 2 closed circuits to independently cool 2 fermenters
Spike 10 conical that I typically fill to 14gal and a...
3 days of temps at 55F with the sanke keg filled to the top.
Now I am working on insulating the chill lines to address the condensation.
Not sure it is worth the effort to insulate the sanke keg.
I picked up with Anvil coiling coil.
It is tiny, someone with the tools could probably bend one the next tubing size larger and still fit in a keg.
My room is 70F. Took about 20min to get a 5gal corny down to 56F
Now I got it headed to 50F.
I think insulating the lines to the coil will also...
I got one of those large colman white coolers they use on charter fishing boats. It's a big boy.
I normally make my cooler manifolds out of 1/2" CPVC.
Anyone make manifolds from 3/4" size???
My system has been running for years. This last brew day my primary boil circuit when turned out had a loud vibrating/hum noise coming from the contactor.
My other circuits were fine, so I continued to brew.
The noise was the same even when I had no load on the circuit.
Is this as simple as...
