@Ozarks_Mountain_Brew the Anvil Foundary is double-walled. While your solution would work for a standard kettle there would need to be a specific solution for the Anvil Foundry so that the weldless fittings can seal against the inside wall while passing through the outside one. Hence Bobby's...
Yes, I reached out to them and Bobby said that would likely work. I think the trickiest part is making sure to have the right sized bit that's constructed in a way that allows it to pass through the outer hole to drill through the inner wall.
Has anyone successfully added a sight glass to the anvil foundry? It's double walled. The way I boil is a bit different and I need to track my volume in a better way the the internal markings.
I know brew hardware has extended bulkheads. Maybe just a 7/8 hole saw with an extension?
I just ordered the 6.5 gallon with recirculation kit and I'm going to find the same thing. Any luck?
EDIT: I searched a lot to find this thread. No more than a minute later I found out anvil had one. Stainless Steel Pump Head for the Anvil Brewing Pump
I'm brewing 3.5-4 gallon batches and I will be making a jacket for my kettle as well. I figured that would be a good compromise for the time being. I might be able to get onto a 240v circuit but it would require a big investment in a substantial extension cord. It may still happen, but my house...
Thanks for the reply! You sold me on the EZBoil. I was leaning that way anyway.
Would the EZBoil run the element at 100% in mash mode? I would only set it to 100% when rising to a boil then back it off a bit once I get there. I wouldn't be recirculating anymore at that point. I would have to...
Hello, everyone! I'm new to homebrew talk but I've been brewing for about 2 years and it's time for an upgrade! I've been researching a DIY controller.
The setup I'm going for is a single vessel eBIAB, one pump for recirculation/counterflow chilling, 20a 120v power, 2250w heating element. I have...
