The only thing that I can think of is Lagunitas is using a different way to calculate Carbs, possibly through lab analysis, compared to the formulas that Brewer’s Friend or other websites use.
I’ve been out of pocket for awhile and glad I missed the conversation above :)
Update: 12 Months in the Bottle
I bottled everything in November 2020 and the carbonation has been very slow. I gave the update at 4 months and probably tried one at 6 months but figured this beer needed to go a...
My brew system is a Ruby Street Fusion 15, with 15 gallon boil kettle and a plater chiller.
The setup comes with a Hop Spider similar to this one https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B072Q1G91R/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I used 2 Hop Spiders to split up the hops but my...
So I still think this is the best counter pressure bottle filler with CO2 purge. Today, I was making up a variety 6 pack for a friend. Two of the beers were bottle conditioned but the rest came from kegs. Using a bottle sanitizer like this...
The wrap does a good job for a single kegmentor. I keep the wrap velcroed to the lid to keep it out of the way when I’m not using it. When I need it I wrap it around the kegmentor with a large trash can rubber band. It will work when I have two kegmentors going but it is really only good for...
I use super Klee clarifier for my cider and it works great without having to cold crash.

I agree with what Franktalk said.
I’ve had a similar experience with a pumpkin ale my cousin brewed. He gave me a year old bottle and it was crystal clear with great pumpkin flavor. It was bottle conditioned so oxidation was minimized.
I’m guessing the flavor may intensify because the hop...
Looks like they sell the fittings you need on the Exchilerator website. Looks like you would need a Female npt to Tri for the inlet side and a Male npt to tri on the outlet side. I wonder if the increase price is that they put tri-clamps on all fittings and it includes the clamp and gaskets...
Had a keg with a picnic tap. Figured I would try a small piece of silicone tubing to connect the TapCooler and it worked perfectly to fill a 6 pack. It was a little difficult to figure out how to rest the TapCooler somewhere between bottles to keep it sanitary but I managed to figure out a way...
Wanted to share my fermentation setup as I think it is working really well and makes fermenting, pressure transfer and even carbonating in the fermenter very easy. Some day I need to add up what everything costed but I figure it is a lot cheaper then a couple of conicals and glycol.
I have two...
No matter what size keg you go with I would recommend using a floating dip tube with filter. I fermenter in 1/4 barrel sanke kegs and started out using a shortened dip tube. Had nothing but problems with clogged posts when transferring Beer to serving keg. Switched to floating dip tube and last...
Isn’t this what we all did when we started Extract Brewing?? Adding top-off water after the boil.
I would have no problems adding RO water at the start of fermentation. But it looks like you are planning to add the water post or during fermentation. If this is the case then I would bring...
