    What are you drinking now?

Over the last couple of years Galaxy became very sketchy and often is loaded with harsh polyphenols. I used to have a Galaxy-centric hazy on tap but since my last "known good" Galaxy hops ran out I've been apprehensive about brewing it again... Cheers!

    Anchor closing?!

If those are the two choices I suppose a sell-out is preferable to extinction. That said, the idea of "Sam Adams" being owned by any non-American corporation would be disappointing... Cheers!

    Chapman 20gal Mash Tun Upgrade

Lots of folks have mash tuns with similar rubber tubing. My first 10 gallon Rubbermaid did and I managed to never knock it loose. Never worried about breaking it as it was braided high temperature Tygon, not silicone. Might consider using that... Cheers!

    Chapman 20gal Mash Tun Upgrade

I believe @Bobby_M still offers custom SS dip tube production, I've been using one he did for me for years, all you need is a diagram. But, is it worth it? Only if it's easy to implement and deal with wrt disassembly for cleaning, etc. Otherwise there's no compelling reason to avoid the short...

    Micro Matic Nitrogen Regulator Question

Apparently it is not illegal to fill a CGA 320 valved cylinder with nitrogen gas, or a beer gas blend. So it's not uncommon to find CGA 320 stemmed regulators being used for beer gas, although I'd be surprised if my local AirGas outlet would go along with all that these days... Cheers!

    Micro Matic Nitrogen Regulator Question

re: replacing your CGA 320 stem with a CGA 580 stem Micro Matic "nitrogen inlet stem" uses a Left Hand Thread (not atypical of high-pressure side plumbing, I think Taprite does the same). Their part can be found here...

    Micro Matic Nitrogen Regulator Question

Your Micro Matic regulator has a CGA 320 stem. And it is indeed missing the O-ring at the tip. It normally would be "trapped" by the hex screw at the tip. I have a Taprite CO2 reg with a CGA 320 stem that also uses an O-ring like that, but you can (and I have) get by in a pinch using a standard...

    Spot the Space Station

So far so good but it ain't over 'til the Centaurs run out of fuel :) [edit] Good through separation, the next drama will be testing the heat shield on the return leg. Have to say SpaceX does a much better video production than NASA :)

    Issues dialing in my stirplate

If you can't create a dimple with your 2" bar, a smaller bar "would work better"... Cheers!

    Issues dialing in my stirplate

A 2" bar can be a challenge where a 1" bar would be a piece of cake. Get a smaller bar... Cheers!

    Kegland Oxebar corny kegs 20L/5.2gal

Does Kegland recommend prolonged contact with sodium percarbonate/sodium carbonate cleaners like Oxiclean for their PET vessels? I recall there were issues with Better Bottles (also PET) where that caused crazing and eventually cracking. If that is the case, PBW might be the better option...

    Anchor closing?!

Sam Adams may be sold to Japanese beverage company Suntory. Maybe not the best example to follow ;)

Insignia collar problem. What to do about a wire running into the lid.

All of the chest freezers I've built keezers from had lid lights, but they were all 120vac switched elements. Which made it easy to extend the external wire - I just cut it and spliced in enough twin-lead copper to fit, didn't even need to pay attention to polarity. You could do the same, just...

    Anchor closing?!

One has to expect new ownership will not run Anchor the way it was run into its (albeit temporary, from current appearances) demise. Something has to change for its second life to be successful... Cheers!
