I'm looking to buy a couple of these. Figured I'd see if anyone has any collecting dust before I buy new ones.

Just to clarify for future readers, I believe Biggz1313 was saying that if you tend to brew 10 gallon batches of bigger beers often (i.e. 8%), then you'll hit the limitations of the 15 gallon kettle. For 5 gallon batches you can make huge beers.
For those using a bag instead of the Solo basket, when lifting the bag do the whirlpool arms or pickup tubes get in the way and snag the bag?
For the custom basket, is there enough clearance in the kettle for whirlpool arms etc? From the pics, it doesn’t look like there’s a pickup tube and...
my apologies, haven't been on here in a while. This has been working for me for a couple years now with no problems. I attach a thick hose with a clamp and haven't had any problems.
Hey Brooothru - nice setup! I've been using the Spike all in one PRV on my Spike fermenter which works great. I wanted to use the Spike PRV on my recently acquired Unitank too. I like what you did with the Tee & elbow. Couldn't you just add the 90 degree elbow to where the blowoff arm...
Yeah, my conical is higher than my keg. 10-15 mins to fill a keg isn't bad. You want a gentle transfer with minimal splashing. I haven't timed my kegging process but 10-15 mins seems about right to me.
My guess is that some fine particles have clogged up your liquid disconnect or the liquid post on your keg. Clean them out, re-sanitize, and start the transfer again. This happens to me when transferring IPA's with a large dry hop or fruited Sours.
Sounds like a great setup. I’d love to have a temp-controlled room for various kegs for long term aging. This is exactly what I’m looking to build, a bunch of various sour and Brett beers that I can mix at various stages. Since I’ll be aging in kegs under pressure I’m assuming high temps in...
I have 2 Zymatic Step filters, hop baskets, and a bag of odds & ends that came with the unit - power cord, ethernet cable, rubber keg lid, etc.
I'll ship them if you pay for shipping/packaging.
Just curious why some are installing a floating dip tube through the cap if they have a spigot. Why not just install a gas QD on the lid and use the spigot for samples and transfer?
