Brewhouse Efficiency: 72%
Malt Bill:
10lbs Briess 2-Row Brewers Malt
1lb Briess Flaked Oats
6oz Gambrinus Honey Malt
Mash 60mins @ 152'F
Hop Schedule:
5ml Hopshot (10%) Boil 60mins
.5oz Citra (12%) Boil 10mins
1oz Citra (12%) Whirlpool 40mins
1oz Amarillo (9.2%) Whirlpool 40mins
1oz Citra (12%) Whirlpool 20mins
1oz Amarillo (9.2%) Whirlpool 20mins
Dry Hops added at the beginning of day 4 of fermentation:
2oz Citra (12%)
1oz Amarillo (9.2%)
Water Profile: (I use this for all of my IPAs and PAs)
Chloride 175-200ppm
Calcium 100-120ppm
Sulfate 75-100ppm
Fermentation:
Start around 65'F and hold for the first 2 days and then let it rise 1degree per day until 73'F and hold until the end of fermentation.
Just came up with this last night and am going to brew it next week.
Took a lot of concepts from my New England IPAs and scaled it back for more of a summer time Pale Ale, still packed with a lot of hop flavor.
