Looking for advice on Ferm Chamber.

This is what I came up with: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/showthread.php?t=473619. Not familiar with the fermonster dimensions, but I'm sure something similar would work. This has done very well for me and I've put quite a few lagers through there at this point. My only complaint about it is...

    My Fermentation Chamber Build

Thanks Brettrae! I think the window holds up great. The two layers of glass with a pocket of air trapped between seems to keep it well insulated. The fridge is quiet so most of the time I don't notice the compressor kick on, but it seems to kick on less then my kegerator mini fridge. I will...

5L mini keg with Tap - how long does it last?

I used the 5L mini kegs for a bit and yes the beer will be fine for a good while. I had a homemade tap system that works similarly to the one you're describing. Is was air tight and kept pressurized with co2 cartridges so the beer stayed fresh and carbed for several weeks. However, I do not...

    Fly Sparging

I beleive this is exactly the reason a slow sparge (45+ minutes) is always recommended. Rushing the sparge greatly increases the chances of channelling in the grain bed. Channelling = loss in mash efficiency so taking your time is good practice. You may be able to get really good mash...

    Building A Copper Wort Chiller

@leidemann 50-60 gallons? You are way off sir. With my immersion chiller/pre-chiller it takes about 20 gallons to chill to 65 in under 20 minutes. That water gets collected back in my mlt and hlt to reuse in the washer.

    Homemade PBW Recipe

The updated proportions are on the second page. The OP just dropped the Seventh Generation from 45oz to 40oz. 96oz Sun Oxygen Cleaner 64oz TSP/90 40oz Seventh Gen. The other ratios aren't the PBW "clone", just what some people are using with success. Those ratios exclude the Seventh...

Revolver Blood & Honey Clone? (1st attempt)

Went to a brew tour at Revolver last year. I don't know what yeast they use, but it's an American strain and I know they ferment really warm. I remember the brew master said they ferment at around 72-74 Fahrenheit. He actually acted like I was crazy when I asked about the high temp, saying you...

    Homemade PBW Recipe

My choice of going with regular TSP wasnt a matter of label confusion. It's use has been brought up in this thread several times. There are a few guys successfully using it combined with oxy. It indeed isn't the same chemical compound, but it supposedly (hopefully) serves the same intended purpose.

    Homemade PBW Recipe

So glad I found this thread! I was able to find all of the ingredients of the original recipe here in TX, but I did decide to go with the cheaper 4.5lb box of TSP I found at HD opposed to TSP/90. I know (from reading this thread) that TSP/90 is a substitute for TSP, but my question is, would I...

How picky are you about ABV?

I like to be within close range of my target ABV. Do I care if I'm a little off? No, but I certainly want to know if I am. I record everything so I can either adjust the error in my process or recreate it.

    5L Mini Kegs Rust

Thanks for the advice Daryl. Sounds like it's worth a shot. Still curious how those with experience with these kegs have handled it though.
