    On the other hand the higher the alcohol the longer it'll last. Several years ago I had the last bottle of an 18% batch that was still good at 18 years old.

    I brew several batches of bitter every year. Mostly with base malt only or with a small amount of crystal. Each batch uses a different hop.

    I'm no certified judge so don't put a lot of faith in my old senses, but I get some fruitiness, a hint of citrus, and some herbal bordering on piney.
