Been a while since I posted. I was cleaning my brewing gear with near-caustic (diswasher detergent) at about 200F. The return hose slipped out of the kettle and shot me in the leg with some hot caustic. The liquid went through my polyester running pants and accumulated on my (cotton) socks. By the time I removed the sock and hosed my leg down, the damage was done.
It hurt some when it happened but apparently the nerve endings were damaged... so not much pain after affect.
