Based on the "historical porter" recipe in BYO (Maybe Nov '13?). This was a fantastic porter - rich roasted flavors but not too full, not sweet, very easy to drink. This has been my favorite homebrew yet.
Batch size: 5.5 gal
Efficiency: 80%
OG: 1.064 FG: 1.017 (mine came out 1.061 & 1.016 respectively)
10# US pale ale malt
1# Munton's amber malt
1# Munton's brown malt
1# Munton's black malt
.5 oz Galena (60 min)
1 oz golding (30 min)
Wyeast London ESB 1968
Mash at 152 F for 60 min, ferment about 63 - 67. If you love porter, you will not regret making this.
