I got the idea from Microbusbrewery (?) where he made a PVC collar on a jockey box and it got me thinking....

Take an old Sanke spear that I had lying around (it just happens to fit over a beer shank!). Cut it to fit the gap between both skins of my kegerator.
Buy some SS washers with a 7/8" ID. Use the swedging tool that I had for making my kegs. Pull a small dimple on the washer to fit the spear section.
Solder the two together and bingo! No more loose taps :ban:
