    Force Carbing in Keg Question

    Ginger Rye Recipe

Appreciate the feedback! I know its alot of ginger... but I really liked the punch of ginger this beer had when I brewed it. I've noticed the ginger definitely mulls out over time. The bottles I drank initially after the normal 2 weeks conditioning had quite a ginger taste, but the ginger...

    Ginger Rye Recipe

I brewed the austin homebrew summer rye extract recipe a while back, and added in my own ginger at the end of the boil. The beer turned out great, and I had alot of friends who really appreciated it. Now, I am going to attempt to convert this recipe to all grain and brew it this weekend...

Brew for yourself and not for others!!

In my short time brewing, I've also come to the realization that I need to brew what I want to drink. My miller friends have told me that my brew is "pretty good", in a way that comes off as them just being nice. I am still convinced (maybe to my own dismay) that I can bring them to the light...

+1 on this. I started controlling my ferm temps more carefully after my first two batches and saw a HUGE difference in quality of my beer.

    Infected??

Cool. Thank you. The more I think about it, the less worried I am. I think if it was an infection, it would be much more apparent. I think I just did a horrible job in removing the hot break from the wort when moving to the primary.

    Infected??

This was my first all grain batch so it may just be that I am seeing diferent things in the wort that I did not see when using extracts... This beer has been sitting in the secondary for 5 days now after 7 days in the primary.

    Infected??

What do ya'll think? I noticed quite a bit of "break" material when transferring to the secondary. I'm hoping thats all that is accumulating at the edge of the wort... Any advice is appreciated!

What came in the mail for you today?

Received my first keg and gas line 3 way manifold! Will go nicely with the inkbird temp controller and taprite dual regulator that came in last week! Now just need to get the fridge in working order... Should be receiving my CMB faucets soon :ban:

    Faucet Recommendations

I definitely would have ordered a ventmatic if they were available. The intertaps also look awesome and I may try one of those out when I am ready to add a couple more faucets (or a FC perlick!). I'll try to report back on the CMB faucets after I've poured a few draughts through them. Cheers...

    Faucet Recommendations

Appreciate the advice. I'm not installing a tower. It's a top shelf freezer unit and the faucets are going on the front refrigerator door. According to "SCIENCE", I need about 9 feet of beer line for an optimal pour. Is this ideal in the kegerator? Of course not, but certainly doable. To me, the...
