Some questions for San Diego area HBTers

There are a lot of good places to check out. Everybody says Stone is sweet. It's actually a little north of San Diego. For my money, Pizza Port is the place to go. If you like hot chicks, good beer and tasty pizza, check it out in Carlsbad. "I like it alot!":mug:

    Man, I love Apfelwein

I totally agree. I found this one hard to force carbonate, but when I let it set for 2 weeks...holy poop!!! It was great! I am drinking as fast as Paris Hilton on spring break. If you haven't made this one, you are wrong!:drunk:

    Aging Apfelwein in these growlers

If you are looking at doing a batch, the regular amount of priming sugar should work. If you did a 5 gallon batch, dump in the same amount of sugar you would use for beer.

    The Official WHMBP Thread

For those of you that have actually gone out of your way to ship HB to my military brothers...I thank you. The red, white and blue of 9/12/01 has faded and I know that we all appreciate your continued support. V/R HM1(FMF/EXW) J Davies

    The Official WHMBP Thread

Just came across this post and was wondering of this was still going on? As an active duty military type, I think that this is a great program. Even if the service member isn't a homebrewer, I know that any show of appreciation will be well received. Thanks for all of your efforts. Justin8404

    Man, I love Apfelwein

Holy friggin sweet Zeus's mustache! This stuff rocks. I ran out of apple juice and substituted white grape juice. Ended up being 3/4 apple and 1/4 white grape and it is friggin' awesome. I kegged it and haven't been able to stop pulling from the tap. Ed...what a simple and beautiful recipe.

    Anyone have a cooler wife?

The best part of this thread is that EdWort responded. Kind of like meeting a rockstar.

    Anyone have a cooler wife?

So, my birthday is in like 3 weeks and my wife went all out for me. She TOLD me that I needed to stop being such a wussy and upgrade to AG from partial. She then bought me all of the necessary equipment. Well, I bought it, but she gave me the OK. Then, the next night she comes home...

Can dry hopping contaminate a batch?

That's a valid question. By all rights, fermentation should be complete while in the primary or else you would have not racked to secondary, right? I know I use one because off gassing can still occur in the secondary, especially if you have to move it. The agitation will sometimes stir up...
