I'm wondering what would happen if my roommate who is an extract brewer ( I am a Mazer [Mead maker]) were to pitch one of my EC-1118 as opposed to using a proper beer yeast?

Personally I take my old bottles and store them in one of my primaries that I'm not currently using. Than when i have enough of them i fill the bucket up with HOT water and a bit of dish soap ensuring to fill each bottle full of water so that they dont float all over the place during the fill...
I need a really quick short mead recipe that isn't BOMM because i cant get my hands on the wyeast 1388 from it here. please help i need this mead to be ready for drinking by at at the absolute most July of this year (2015).:confused:
