We're hosting a competition in a few months that is limited to "American Styles", one beer I already have on tap is a Dusseldorf Alt. Any American Style category I may be able to sneak an Alt into?

My only thought is Dark American Lager, but it would be a stretch.
Any ideas?

If it's for your local competition in June you probably have time to make a new batch, maybe something quick like an Am. Wheat.

CC is a great thought for your Alt, but many judges of that style, I think, have a narrow expectation of pronounced toasty malt + woody hops. That said, I'm sure there'll be less competition for CC than for, say, Am. Amber (where you'd probably be dinged for lacking Am. hops flavor/ aroma)

You could still dry hop the Alt. It would be a sacrilege, but it's an option.
