Hi
I've recently discovered the wonders of Brooklyn lager :ban: and i have to say i can't get enough of the lovely brown stuff only prob is its about £1.20 ~ $2.50 for a small 375ml bottle in the UK. I would love to be able to brew something even close to it!
I've got the clone brews book but there is no mention of it, does anyone have a recipe for this???

Are you an all grain or extract brewer?

I don't know of any recipes but it would be pretty easy to make one up based on this info :

Malts: 2-row pale malt, caramel malt, carapils
Hops: Hallertau and Cascade
Alcohol: 5% by volume
Original Gravity: 12.5 degrees Plato; 1049
Bitterness: 28-30 IBUs

The flavour of BL is very Cascade-y anyway. You would get away with a neutral ale yeast like Safale US-56 for this.

Thanks for the info, im extract only at the moment but i would be prepared to go all grain if i thought i could brew something close to this.
