Anyone have a tried recipe for either a caramel or coconut, porter or stout. I would like to brew something for a friend that just bought a business to be part of the celebration in a few months. She mentioned she likes darker beers. Hoping to do something a little different. Has to be gluten free so I can partake also.

Hey chaps welcome. I'm a total noob and have not tried any port or stout recipes but there are some good resources that you can use.

There are a ton of recipes https://www.glutenfreehomebrewing.org/recipes/findrecipe.php some of them are taken from threads on this forum.

No Nonsense Stout: https://www.homebrewtalk.com/forum/threads/no-nonsense-stout.323755/

Thanks Yak. I checked out the GFHB recipe database but didn't find a caramel or coconut recipe. I found a Brown Ale and the Stout but am not experienced enough (yet) to feel comfortable modifying recipes. Hoping someone with more experience has a recipe they created and tried out laying around.

Thanks brewGF for point that one out. Some good info there. Since I live in the Aloha state I have access to super fresh coconuts. I was more looking for a recipe someone had already created and tried. My google-fu has not turned up anything so i may try to convert a regular recipe into a GF one. A bit of a stretch for me but whats the worst that can happen?
