Everything you love about daddy's orchard plus more. This time, wait for it, pomegranate juice. Thats right freaking pomegranate juice. Lower in calories, probably good for you, don't know. The pomagranate is only a backsweetener, its not fermented. It is mixed after fermentation at 4 g fermented apple juice to 1 g pomegrante juice. My wife took one sip and said, thats amazing. I thought the same. No more fermenting in plastic, bpa sucks. Check plastic for number underneath. That correlates with safety considerations. I will either switch to 5g home depot food safe bucket or find better juice in containers.

1 gallon members mark apple juice
1/5th red star champagne yeast pack
Yeast nutrient per directions and desired (staggered, etc..)
1 Camden tablet
potassium sorbate according to directions
One quart simple truth pomegrante juice

Add yeast nutrient and yeast to 1g apple juice
Ferment
Add 1camden tab per gallon
Add sorbate per directions
Cold crash overnight
Keg with one quart simple truth pomagranate juice

Sounds promising. What's your SG when it's all said and done? Also, if you measured the pH, that might be interesting to know also for comparison purposes. I may try it for backsweetening a very dry cysor that I fermented just recently, though I wonder whether the pom may overhwhelm the flavor.

You should post your recipes in the cider recipe sub forum, bro. Else they tend to roll off the page as we get new posts here. Be sure to put the word pomegranate in the title so it shows up in a search.

Thanks again, haha. I am not familiar with any of that? Ill pm for some help?

Haha, have you met me? Although, when I start using a bucket I might take a measurement. Thanks for the plastic info again btw. Definitely check plastics. Overwhelm, underwhelm, I can't comment, super tasty, I can. The black cherry too. To me, it is what it is, its good tasting aj backsweetened with great juice. Keeping this as my house pipeline has been nice. Its light, refreshing, and the organic dark juices have at least some good health qualities to them and that strikes a cord with the hippy in me. Hope you give it a try!
