Curious if you end up with debris no matter the type of yeast you use? If so, should it be shaken into the mixture before serving (although I must say I don't know how to accomplish the task without ending up with soda all over the place) or left to settle while the soda is just poured off the top.

The debris is mainly yeast and you'll get it with every type. I wouldn't shake it up.
