While pitching my yeast last week, there was a "blockage" in the funnel. I took a santized instrument, and removed said "blockage".
While going through my equipment, I noticed that this "blockage" was a piece of an airlock that had snugged itself perfectly in the funnel. So, I broke a piece off into primary.
I'm not concerned about infection, as the piece had been soaking in Star San.
I should be ok if I use a hop bag/paint strainer to ensure nothing gets through....right?
