New brewer in Rochester, NY here. Found the site while doing some research on ordering a Mr. Beer kit, and two weeks later I've already added a five gallon kit, so working on some cider too. I've mostly learned the hardest wait is for that first beer. At least I hope it's the hardest.

Welcome!

Waiting for that first one is definitely hard. Most of the posts in the beginner forum are "why does my beer taste off?" and the answer is almost inevitably that "you need to wait longer".

The solution is 1) buy some quality craft brews to stem your patience while your first beer comes of age; and 2) to always be thinking about, planning and brewing the next batch so that you don't run into the situation that you've run out of one and have to wait for another.

Cheers!
