Well, thank you everyone for all your help in my numerous recent posts. I decided to make up my own stout using my "homebrew formulator" program. I have always liked being creative so the idea of brewing someone else's kit/recipe hasn't interested me much. Well, here is my final recipe thats bubbleing away in the primary. I am curious to see what you guys think.
Fermentables
6.5lbs light LME
.5lbs Crystal 40
.5lbs Black Patent
.5lbs Chocolate
.5lbs Roasted Barley
.25lbs special B
.25lbs Cara-Red
.25lbs Oats
.5lbs Brown Sugar
Hops
.75 oz. Northern Brewer 60 min.
.75 oz. Hallertauer 15 min.
Irish Moss 15 min.
Yeast
Safale T-58
I.B.U. - 40
S.R.M. - 49
I hope you guys think it sounds good. I just thought I'd expirament. Live and learn I guess. This will be my fourth ever batch, and all my previous batches have been great! This is my first self designed recipe though. I know the grain bill is crazy, but I thought it looked good.
