Polishing Keggels

So when I initially polished my kegs I'm not sure if I get all the old bits of label adhesive off. I ended up with some darkened sections from where I think it smeared.

Anyways, is there something I would wipe them down with before continuing to polish? Something that will remove adhesives and any deposits from burnt on stains?

You could try some paint thinner / mineral spirits or xylene, if you have it. Acetone may work. Most any solvent should get it off.
